The sea crossing from Libya to Europe has claimed more than two thousand lives so far this year – as desperate men women and children crowd onto small boats – in the hope of reaching Europe. For the past month a BBC team has been on board the biggest NGO ship in the region – run by Doctors Without Borders. Rami Ruyahem reports on the latest tactics to stop the smugglers.
