Anjali Ryot, a social media influencer and vlogger from San Jose, was caught in a crossfire between two gangs and killed in Mexico, authorities said.
She was one of two tourists to perish in the shooting in the Caribean resort town of Tulum. Other tourists were injured.
Authorities in Quintana Roo, the state where Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Cancun are located, said one of the dead women was Ryot.
